The company PF Steel Structures is a member of the Fortex Group of Companies and has been operating in the metal construction market since 2006. The company produces a wide range of steel structures for the construction of buildings and structures that meet modern quality standards. Steel structures are made exclusively from high-quality raw materials that have passed a strict control of compliance with applicable rules and standards of GOST. Capacities of the enterprise allow to produce up to 400 tons of metal structures per month.

The company employs 25 workers. The main working professions: welders, metalworkers, metalworkers, drill drivers, saw cutters.

Correspondent: Viktor Petrovich, how long have you been working at the enterprise? Who did you work before PF "Steel structures"?
Viktor Petrovich: I have been working here for more than 10 years. My work experience today is already 41 years old, all this time I have been working with metal, before PF “SK” also worked as an assembler of metal structures before.

C: How long did you have to learn?

V.P. After graduating from school, I graduated from vocational school №7 in Kazan with a degree in “Milling machine operator”. I chose a specialty thoughtfully - I wanted to learn a profession, earn money and be independent. At the end of vocational school I worked in KAPO them. Gorbunova.

C: What exactly do you do?

VP: The work of the metalworking assembly technician, I combine with the work of the drillman. My job is to chop and manually cut the wire, sheet and section metal blanks, mark up parts, drill holes and install bolts on metal structures according to drawings and much more. My task is to deliver the necessary parts in time: flanges, plates, lintels and others for the assembly of metal structures so that the welders are provided with work and the production process is not interrupted. In general, the production process of metal structures is phased and the timeliness of order fulfillment depends on the operational work of each link.

C: Do you have a big load? Is there a lot of work?

VP: It all depends on the object for the construction of which metal structures are produced. When the object is large - the amount of work is correspondingly also large. We work overtime and on weekends work is in full swing. Basically, the entire scope of work, the drillman, but a window appeared - I am going to the assembly of metal structures. There is no downtime.

C: Does the load depend on the season or do you have a year-round equivalent rhythm?

VP: Rather, not from the season, but from each specific order.

C: What technique do you work with? Was it difficult to master it?

VP: Now I work on the radial-drilling machine АС-2540. This is a fairly simple technique, which was not difficult for me to master. Our equipment is in excellent condition, modern and if it treats it carefully and in a timely manner to maintain it, then it will work without interruption.

C: Do young people work a lot? How do you rate their level of training?

VP: Young people come to us, but they are more interested in the profession of the welder. He doesn’t go on the profession of machine operators now - this is not prestigious, besides, one has to spend the whole working day on his feet standing at the machine. So we are working with my partner at the machine - he is a pensioner, I am also of pre-retirement age. We hope that we will be replaced by young specialists, for our part, we will explain everything, help you.

C: Do you love your job? What do you like about your job?

V.P. I love my job. Especially you get job satisfaction when you are valued as a specialist and when your work is adequately paid.

C: What does the payment for your work depend on?

V.P .: Payment depends on the volume of production (tonnage), the more products produced - the higher the payment to all participants in the production process. Previously, each employee had his own standards, a plan on which his personal salary depended. The total output is now estimated.

C: What, in your opinion, will increase productivity?

VP: Of course, first of all, it is efficient equipment, timely availability of drawings, metal. All these points are equivalent and important.

C: What do you like to do in your free time?

VP: In the summer - this is a garden, a vegetable garden, in the winter - fishing. I like to spend my free time outdoors, in the open air. You receive a charge of cheerfulness and good mood.
